Easton Royal

Holy Trinity, Easton
Royal

In 1245 Stephen, son of a local landowner, Sir Adam of Easton,
founded a priory at Easton. The existing church parish was placed
under the control of the priory and when, in 1377, there were no
longer enough parishioners in the village who could afford to maintain
the church in proper order, they were allowed to pull it down
The materials were used to enlarge the priory church and the villagers
 worshiped there as well.
The priory church stood until 1590 when it was pulled down, and
a new church was built in 1591

Holy Trinity Church is now open for private prayer.

Please use the sanitiser before entering and on leaving the church.

The church has been given a thorough clean and all bibles, hymn books, orders of service and kneelers have been removed.

We look forward to being able to hold services at some point in the not too distant future.

Thank you
100 Club
The Easton Royal Church fundraising includes a scheme called "The 100 Club".
Members subscribe by means of a standing order or cheque made payable to the 100 Club account, or in cash, following an application on the prescribed form. The cost of each number is £2 per calendar month or £24 for a year.
50% of this income goes towards the upkeep of our village church, and the remaining 50% is awarded in prizes each month. A draw takes place monthly and first, second and third prizes are paid out immediately representing 30%, 10% and 5% of income respectively. The remaining 5% is held over for an annual Christmas prize in November.

The 100 Club's third year will run from December 2019 to November 2020.
